Ryan Miloshewski Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Posted on the duck hunting thread, but forgot to post here. Shot five teal closing day of KS and made a teal gravy with them. Served over rice for a side one night and cheesy grits the other times. It was delicious. I will be doing it again with big ducks. I need a Magnalite I suppose..sigh.. BilletHead Posted October 11 Posted October 11 Once again mother Earth provides. Scored on a big hen of the woods (Maitake). What to do, what to do? We have eaten it many ways but decided to search for something different. So today our first choice was grilled hen of the woods with ginger soy vinaigrette. This would be today's meat. . The big shroom, Breaking it down missing the slices that will be the mushroom steaks. Let the grilling begin. Between flips brushing on the vinaigrette. Side of sweet corn froze up from this summer. This was very good. Maitake has medicinal properties. Hoping I didn't Cook it out. rps, Johnsfolly and ness 3 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!"
