Johnsfolly Posted August 12 Posted August 12 I cooked a store marinated pork tenderloin last night. Served it with steamed broccoli and blistered cherry tomatoes. No photos but was tasty bachelor meal while my wife and daughter are in KY helping our oldest move. ness 1

Daughter and SIL moved recently and I didn't even get a call!! Johnsfolly 1 John
Johnsfolly Posted August 13 Posted August 13 I pulled an old packet of venison steaks from the freezer..I also had some leftover pork tenderloin. Sliced both thin. I also sliced up some yellow and green peppers, onion, mushrooms, and broccoli. Also diced ginger. Cooked with some bilgogi and sambal sauces and a dash of fish sauce. rps and ness 2
ness Posted August 15 Author Posted August 15 Pork loin with my BBQ rub done on the grill and beans from the garden Roasted chicken and veg with a pan gravy -- the 'Engagement Chicken' I posted a while back. Hate the name, love the chicken and sauce tho. With added sage and lemon thyme from the garden And, meefoaf as my baby brother called it with some decent locally grown corn and mashtaters Tonight will be one of our favorite pasta dishes rps 1 John

ness Posted August 15 Author Posted August 15 One of our favorite pasta dishes---was a disappointment. There was a new brand of pancetta at the store. I thought looked a little fatty in the package window. When I opened it up it was probably 90% fat and the meat part was kinda grisly. I mopped out a lot of the rendered fat, but there was no improving the meat part. The porky fat is an important part of the flavor of this dish, but it wasn't right. Not a total bust, but it should be much better. Pretty in the pic tho. John

Is that feta on the salad? ness 1
