I cooked nothing. But around 6:30 the wife and I were out in the front yard planting flowers and I told her I was starving. A few minutes later our next door neighbor showed up with chicken, corn, and the best potato salad I have ever tasted. I love my neighbors.

Is that those two foreigner chicks? Or have they moved on?

Had to spread the love today. My bullet smoker has been getting jealous of my big fancy smoker that BH so lovingly bestowed upon me!  I had purchased her just a few months before.  We enjoyed a great time with one another's company.  And then the new kid on the block showed up and she was almost forgotten.  I do fire her up every now and then but not near as often as I used to.

So I fired up her today and she did not disappoint!  She tenderly and lovingly turned out some of the highest quality smoked meats you'll ever taste in your life!

What am I looking at there Chief? I've got chickens, and I think bologna.

All I know is that his wife made it and I almost passed out when I tasted it. I'm not big on potato salad but I'd eat a ton of this stuff. I'll see if I can get a recipe out of her.

A few nights ago I caught a whiff of her cooking and almost invited myself over. No idea what it was but the smell was amazing. I got a chocolate cake I'm going to butter her up with.

Yes chicken, Bologna, and meatloaf.

Ask her please. Some folks are flattered and eager to share. Then there's the others. Tater salad can be pretty bland or boring.

I did some chicken salad the other day. I didn't have pickle relish so I chopped up some bread and butter pickles I had made and it took that bland old chicken salad into a new direction that was tasty.

Wow. I started to guess meatloaf but I backed off. That's crazy, but I can sure see it working. It all sounds great.

This meatloaf is a first to me as it is not your traditional meatloaf. I mixed this one with a rub like I put on a brisket or pork butt. I haven't tried it yet but I have high hopes on the flavor.
