Bill is the V38 the one with more gold in it, but same color pattern correct?

You can find a good pic of it in 1000 places on the web. V38 has an orange belly and it is really called Green Craw. It does for a fact have gold twinges to it.

Beck prefers the old Brown Craw maybe one of the numbers that Alex posted. I have not done as well with that Red Craw he has the pic of but my friends all think that is one super color.

If you have faith in it that is the ticket.

Phil Stone grinds them to pieces, he always has one tied on, don't know his favorite color I'll have him respond to the thread, he is a good hand with a wart.

Nice group of baits Alex

People called me crazy, but I said the wart prices would pullback to normal after the rock crawler was released.

The Ebay pre rap prices are like stocks, at some point they become "over bought" & the pps starts to decline.

V38 is an ugly color, but if that hot mustard catches them, I will fish it.

The prices haven't went down to much. For some off colors you can find them for sometimes 10-12 bucks a piece but most of the draws are still over $20 and some going for $30.

The v38 is still my go to color and I will fish them til the paint is wore off. If I get up into the rivers with a little color, I will change up and throw the brown craw because it has more orange. I remember last year on Lake of the Ozarks I was fishing the CPA and just caught a 3lb er and next cast completely shattered one of my favorite warts on a rock. I almost cried! I was taught by Dave Barker, probably the best with a wart, how to fish it properly in the mid 90s. One particular day in march at a club tournament, Dave hauled in 18lbs of fish and 2nd place was 6lbs. His favorite was the brown craw or v37 like Alex has. Fishing the wart is more of a technique than anything, it's not just throw it out and reel back. You are feeling every rock and stump as you come back. And the bite most of the time feels like you hooked a leaf!

That is right ozarksfishin. It is a must to feel everything. After watching that wart video Dave made that is on YouTube a few years ago it really made me a better wart fisherman. After going out on the water several times practicing the sweeping motion and reeling up slack will get you more bites and you will feel the might bites which are usually from big ones inhale and over taking your bait.

Stone, you're a lucky guy to get a personal Wart lesson from Mr. Dave. Always enjoyed being around him at CPA derbies. Just envied the co-anglers who got to fish WITH him while I had to go out and fish AGAINST him.

I can assure you that Im fishing the wart differently than 90% of other fisherman. Speeed killz

Dave's method sounds like "pulling" the bait, which is similar to dragging a carolina rig. I would only do that if the bait was a suspender, but what do I know.

This might be a stupid question but, do you have to add the suspend dots to the suspenders to make them suspend?

How many dots does it normally take to produce a suspender vs how many dots does it takes to make a floater into a suspender?

Im asking because I wanted to place the suspend dot before repainting the bait, then clearcoat over it.

Barker has won a won over 6 figures fishing it, so I kind of tend to rely on how he does it. The v37 is also I believe Beck's favorite Brown Craw.

Nice comment on the leaf Stonner, more than a great example. lots of times you just lose it or it stops wiggle warting. That's a BITE.

Good Gosh we got to get off this Board and onto the water.
