Members JustFishin4Fun Posted February 24, 2015 Members Posted February 24, 2015 Yea sorry it took me so long the first bend that goes to the left before springfield lake by the nature trail after the underwater pipeline it's all 16 foot plus and the water is low
jbooth24 Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Ive only. Fished the bank. I have fished it at night by the boat ramp and had luck with bass and fished it by boat and had luck. One year my dad caught a 8lb channel cat on a little kids pole. Up in a cove there.
trythisonemv Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 i know of a few places where 16 ft water is on springfield lake around the 65 bridge area that hold crappie pretty well, seems the ones that say they know the lake would know or have an idea of where these deep spots r or would be. Just an observation but he thought you were referring to below the dam.
fishbait3 Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 yeah i caught that as i reread the post. I only fish below the dam during paddlefish season. but now days i spend most of my time in bigger lakes, Springfield lake is becoming to overcrowded.
jbooth24 Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 They do if we get enough rain. Had a buddy who caught two there 2 years back with in a hour of opening day. But there is big rocks and a tree in there and I have bad luck there ways getting hung on the bottom. Do hear these is big catfish at the bottom of the darn
