Had a great day Monday fishing with Ham and my friend Max. This was pretty much the first time Max had trout fished, and he did pretty good, especially at first. He was also able to see his first brown trout up close which i'd say was a 19 to 20 inch dandy that Ham caught on a white jig. It was about the coldest weather I fished in, and other than fingers and ears, held up pretty good! Last time I fished the white river, I did have some jerkbait magic during the annual get together back in DEC, but I didn't throw any around the dam due to not wanting to smash my barbed hook, then at Buffalo City, asHam stated, water was pretty trashy. But a great time as always, and hot action first half of the day, I love it, and ready to go again soon hopefully.

JoeD, a few folks, who have never fished with Ham, seem to take exception to the numbers of fish caught sometimes. Having fished with Ham numerous times, I will say that if the numbers are wrong he errors in less than caught. He clicks a counter, when he releases a fish, if he misses one, he does not back up. Some folks question ("haters"} the 100 plus fish days. Having witnessed and done several myself, think providing video proof quiets them. I assure you Ham Loves to fish, but think he tires of the "doubters" who often call him out. I will have his back. Straight Shooter.

Same here. Ham is not only a great fisherman, he's a great friend. Super smart and super open and only wants to help other people catch fish. One of the best people I ever met from OAF. "One of" to all the rest of you. What a great site and with so many really really good people.

1. Would someone please kindly reference and post the comment I made regarding the veracity of the number of fish Ham (or anyone else for that matter) caught? When or where did I actually say or post " I think (insert your name) is full of horseradish with the numbers of fish he caught..."

2. Calling someone a "hater" without any reference or example is intellectually lazy, even though it is currently tossed around publicly in a glib manner, for the perpetually aggrieved.

3. Fishing is fun! Why so serious?

You know what you have posted, or should.

Agreed Rick, I sure enjoyed meeting you guys, hope we can fish again soon! Had a great time as always with Ham!

BTW, as for the mentioned video, i'll work on it when I get more time, staying busy since I got back, i'd say there's 100 fish on film, and I did scan through it, and there a good 5 minute run I watch of fish being continually caught by the three of us, including a triple, that I could run and never break away from the scene. I like to flyfish at times so don't get me wrong, but at one time one of the guide down there was fishing close to us and he moved, might of got tired of watching the action.. :) White jig was hot that first hour, after a while, I actually went back to my standby olive and ginger and it picked up!! Great day, i'll post a video eventually!

Boy, I said a lot of dumb sh++ last year.

Obviously, nothing changes.

Smack? Shoot it in my veins every so often. Talkwise, fishingwise, I can back it up in spades.
