If ya'll would just drop the money and get the lifetime you wouldn't need to remember :)

I have my lifetime for Louisiana, but at my age, it didn't make sense in Arkansas. I'll be able to get the lifetime Senior license before too long. Lol

I don't mind at all getting mine yearly and by doing that I continue to help the state recieve federal funds accounted by the number of permits sold every year.

Once you get the lifetime, that's it.

you bring up some good points chief. With the baby in the home now i probably wont be dropping the 400 dollars for a lifetime and i'd forgotten that detail about the state getting federal funding for each permit sold.

I'm working 10 hour shifts all week so mine has to wait until Monday. I figure getting a fishing license and buying some lures is good way to spend a Monday.

You can get them online in Missouri, pay the fee, print it and your done.

That March thing has messed me up more than a few times. I always get licensed up for KS around the first of the year, then I mentally check that off the list. Head to MO in April or May and I'm not thinking about it. But now I am -- thanks.

I still find it cheaper to buy tags every year than to buy the life time tag

This is how I looked at it when I Bought my Lifetime (purely looking at the fishing part of it ) I wasn’t planning on leaving Mo but have since. But back then I fished Lakes, Streams, Creeks and for Trout plus the White River lakes. My yearly License would be $12.00 Yearly fishing, $10.00 White River and $7.00 for Trout for $29.00 a year. I bought my license when I was 40 years old. So it would be $300.00 10 years to pay it off and then after that it cost me nothing.

But if you find yourself in a position like mine now moving out of Missouri it would be $42.00 Yearly $10.00 White River and $7.00 for trout for a total of $59.00 a year. So 5 years it’s paid for.

Even better I never have to worry about White River permit again which saves me money for my Arkansas License. The average life expectancy in the US is what 80 now heck my family it’s more like 90 so to me this was a no-brainer license. If a person is under 59 years old it really is a smart move financially as it will save you money in the long run both in license cost and if you forget to buy one fine-cost.

Now I had never thought about federal matching funds so I am going to ask does anyone have the information for how that works? Post the information if you have it.

Does it go off total license sales (including lifetime) or just Point of sale sales? And how much is matched? If it is all inclusive than a lifetime becomes even more since able.
