Southeast Missouri is getting, hopefully, the last kick in the groin today. Creeks/streams were running good this morning after the warming/melt. It was 32 at daylight. It is 18 now at 4pm. Had rain all morning with 26 degree temps. Ice. A switch over to heavy snow around 11. Still snowing at 4 pm. 4+ inches. Hopefully by this time next week the peeper frogs will be out.

Snow isn't the only thing, we got a good bit of rain this morning.

The white is starting to pick up steam now & should maintain the above average flow as this snow & ice melts over the weekend.

I just walked across the road and looked at it. Up about a foot or more already since yesterday and has not yet crested.

When I crossed the West fork at hwy 16 this evening it was rolling and muddy, not super bad current but good flow.

This appears to be winters last punch.

Im sure there will be cold fronts, but no more single digits.

The long range forecast looks to be right about normal, upper 50's with overnight lows above freezing.

Combine that with sunshine & light wind, things could happen quickly

I don't think there is enough flow now to push the mud that far. Maybe it will get a little past 412 bridge.
