Members Beaverdamstore Posted March 6, 2015 Members Posted March 6, 2015 "If anyone gives a report they are moving up its already happened and they are sitting on a bluff wall watching the masses and laughing at them." LOL, I must admit I have sat on a bluff watching. :-) First thing I have to determine about fishing reports I get in the store is the "BS" factor. After some time you can get a pattern from the reports. When the same people always catch 30-40 every time they go odds are the "BS" factor is high. I have to smile at those guys and filter the bologna. Then if I personally went or someone I trust went. The reports I give out are always after the fact or they would be fish stories. Not much help with the walleyes now but as I find out more or catch some I will report it. Jim SmallyWally 1
rps Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 I have not been out, but a person I know and trust reports he is beginning to catch keepers. He never tells me where but he fishes upstream from HI this time of year. His preferred bait this time of year is a minnow tipped jig.

That's what I wait for. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Members Beaverdamstore Posted March 6, 2015 Members Posted March 6, 2015 Is that the houseboat guys? Jim
rps Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Yes he means the houseboat guys. Bob? Greenwood, one of them, was among those who competed for the marina concession at HI recently.
Members 78dave Posted March 7, 2015 Author Members Posted March 7, 2015 Thanks guys - if it was always easy we would not have that much fun. Catching fish when others are not is exemplary of a good fisherman. Just have to try and compete against the walleye and see if I can win. But if you hear anything let me know.
Ham Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 With the weather that is forecast for the next ten days, I'm feeling hopeful about the walleye/White Bass runs. Dan Sweeney 1 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Greasy B Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Was that the Walleye moon I seen last night? His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. Members 78dave Posted March 8, 2015 Author Members Posted March 8, 2015 I have always heard three days later is good after a full moon. Our tail waters below Truman Dam (Lake of the Ozarks) are now on the radar screen for a Tuesday Thursday trip. Dam is moving some water so fish with the 60 degree temps will start to move - crappie, white bass walleye, and of course gar. Just put a new 9.9 pro kicker on my boat so can't wait to give it a try. Good luck to all as this warmer moves us to spring.
