Georges Creek access ?

Does anyone know if anything has happened on the George's Creek access? Love to be able to use that again this spring. Thanks for any info

I believe the guy who used to let folks access there stopped doing it. You could always put in there the old fashioned way. Taking out there would suck though.

The access to Georges Creek IS Georges Creek. You have to park on that side road and schlepp your stuff either down TO the river or up FROM the river. Sucks, but, there it is. Do, or do not, there is no try.

I thought that someone mentioned that the Game and Fish had bought the property and was developing it as a public access.

Might want to check with Jimmy Walker at Crooked Creek Canoes for best up to date info. When I was last with him last spring, this access was not usable. Not sure about AG&F plans for additional public access. Jimmy can be reached at 8704046054

I talked to someone that I know in Yellville that fishes the creek and he said that he had heard the same thing that the AG&F had bought the Georges Creek access but he said that he had not seen any work on it yet.

We (AGFC) haven't bought any of the property. We have been in discussion with the family that owns that property.
