Members Mike Fisher Posted March 12, 2015 Members Posted March 12, 2015 I am going to be spending a few days at my folks place on Wooly Creek this weekend and was wondering how the white bass and crappie are up that way. Thanks for any advice! Mike
willyfish Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 All hell is about to break loose, get out and enjoy the weather.
WettinLine Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Are you joining the parade of boats? It will be anything but quite with Spoonbill kicking off!
Members Mike Fisher Posted March 12, 2015 Author Members Posted March 12, 2015 I will be there Monday and Tuesday also so maybe it will not be too bad during the week.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 12, 2015 Root Admin Posted March 12, 2015 Yea- I've heard crappie are excellent on the flats- everywhere. Can't give spots cause there really aren't any. Find 20 feet of water and drift with the wind with jigs, minnows. Trolling with Flickr Shad.
dtrs5kprs Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Are you joining the parade of boats? It will be anything but quite with Spoonbill kicking off! That is an understatement. Usually like a slalom course in the backs of the rivers. Kenpat and OutdoorHomey 2
WettinLine Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 I will be there Monday and Tuesday also so maybe it will not be too bad during the week. Those bottom draggers will be there for two weeks, and they will be thick!
WettinLine Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 You should get a rope and a piece of timber and join the fun!
Members Mike Fisher Posted March 12, 2015 Author Members Posted March 12, 2015 Too much work for me boys.
ten_scoach Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 I was there yesterday. Counted at least 30 boats between 8am and noon. If it's like that during the week, imagine the weekend. trolled, casted, and vertical jigged minnows. Caught a few fish .....mixed bag of whites n crappie. Water temps 48. It was tough to troll with all the boats. no limits but enough for dinner.
