Bigmo Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Buddy of mine caught this 6/10 along with a 4, 3 1/2 and a 2 1/2 in the bigm area Friday all on the magnum wart in a couple of hours. My grandsons and I fished the kings sat. from 1 to 3 and caught 7 with 2 keepers on red wiggle warts. Water temp was 55 at 3pm. Color is a mix of brown and green on the lower and a dark green on the upper. A lot of small debri still floating down but should be clearing up in a couple of days. Fish Wilson and Quillback 2
dtrs5kprs Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Very interesting. That big wart is usually not the subject of positive reports. Thanks for checking in.
Bigmo Posted March 22, 2015 Author Posted March 22, 2015 That's what I thought when he bought them but he sure proved me wrong.
Smallieguy87 Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Good pictures and thanks for the report! I haven't heard talk about the magnum either good or bad. I think that is more to do with how well the original wiggle wart works.
5bites Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 That's awesome! I wonder if the added depth was the key?
rps Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I use the magnum wart to reach deep for trolling. It definitely works, although they desperately need a hook upgrade.
Hammer time Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Nice job I have lots of old magnam warts but have never done any good maybe I should try em again
