Members Jtram201 Posted March 27, 2015 Members Posted March 27, 2015 Summer of 2013 was bowfishing with a buddy and we ran into two different spoonbills in the Lead Hill area. There was no doubt as to what they were. They were right at the boat and less than 2 feet deep under the lights.
fishinwrench Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Wonder if bowfishers ever mistake them for gar, like the giggers mistake bass/trout for suckers.
mojorig Posted March 27, 2015 Author Posted March 27, 2015 It is interesting to hear all these sighting of paddlefish in Bull Shoals. They are a very mobile fish. Ron Burgundy, We did a lot better than we were expecting based of the fishing reports from 2014. We sampled 119 walleye in less then one hour of pedal down time of EF. That's great to hear....any giants? Gone but not forgotten Martin Ford
mojorig Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 No, the biggest was around 26 inches. We very rarely see the big fish down by the dam. Jeremy Risley District Fisheries Supervisor AGFC Mountain Home Office - 1-877-425-7577 Email: Jeremy.Risley@agfc.ar.gov

mojorig Posted March 31, 2015 Author Posted March 31, 2015 There probably are some big ones down there but the likelihood that they would been near the bank shallow enough to sample them is low.
