I don't eat my pets, but I'm not able to go bang out 47 crappie at the drop of a hat either. I'm seriously jealous of that.

I had similar results, using similar methods, in a similar area of the lake today. I didn't catch 47 though.......caught my crappie limit and headed home. Probably caught 23-24 total, with the largest one at little over 14".

They really have turned on this week, seems when the water hits 52 after the nights cool down they go on a major bite. Most my fish have come from about a 200 to 300 ft piece of shore all week. But the same jig all week (crystal shad). Hoping for some open water staging of others in creek mouths and then following the bite down lake.

F&F that was you at hook line & sinker earlier wasn't it ? I was the guy walking out with minnows, when you walked in talking about 47 crappie ! You lucky dog !
