Going down to fish for some bass this week and weekend. I'm kind of going in without a game plan, anyone have any recommendations or insight? I'll be fishing near the dam, and have jigs and wiggle warts in mind, but I usually don't fish this far north, so im not sure what to look for or expect.

Your plan is a good one; add a big white spinnerbait for warmer colored water. Clear and cooler in the dam area; warmer and more stained the farther you go up the Gravois. Secondary points.

Sweet, sounds like the game plan then. Thanks for the heads up, hopefully I'll get on em. I heard the BFL is this weekend, and I'm sure everyone's going in with a similar game plan as the one mentioned above...hopefully these fish don't see too many of these baits!

Probably headed down too. Anyone know what the water color looks like around the 40's and 50's MM of the Osage?

I think the water was pretty dingy just about everywhere last weekend from the recent rains.

Can see chocolate towards backs but not all backs to a heavy stain. Probably all will be chocolate by weekend with forecasted heavy rains/storms.

They are pulling the lake back down again, so actually your clearest, warmest and freshest water will likely be near the backends of creeks/coves. And it's time for the big girls to show up there, so stick to the back ends, move about QUIETLY, and break out your best pitchin'skills.

A big texas rigged 4" tube with a 3/16 worm weight shoved up inside it is an easy bait to "shoot" back into the sweet spots and the fish hold onto it real good.

Will be in the Nianguas for a club derby on Sat. any report there? Is that area forecasted for rain too I assume?
