Seth Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I was fishing out of Pa He Tsi near Osage Beach (just around the point from PB2) the other day. It has plenty of light since the bathroom is at the top just across from the ramp so they keep the area lit up pretty decent.
Old plug Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 I fished 6-9pm. Caught a few after dark, but mainly during the last few hours of daylight. They never did really turn on and bite like crazy during "power hour" right before dark like the past few trips I made. Pay close attention to what he said about hours on the above post. That is the time to be out there this year. And it sometimes goes on all night. Crappie have been known to spawn heavily in this lake at night. I nave a notion that is what is happening this year.
stuartsx5 Posted May 6, 2015 Author Posted May 6, 2015 Pa Ha Tsi is where I put in when I fish the Glaize. I like to fish around the prison property mostly. Plug, I haven't fished much in that time of the night. I used to throw out a light and fish at night but I was a lot younger. My wife and I have appointments Thursday in Springfield till about 3. By the time we get home in Elkland, hook up the boat and get up there we are probably looking at 6 or later. May give it a try. Earl Stuart fishin is livin
fishinwrench Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 "Pa he tsi."...... What is that supposed to mean anyway?
stuartsx5 Posted May 6, 2015 Author Posted May 6, 2015 I am assuming it is a Native American name for that area handed down from older generations. I have never researched that but it is a nice ramp and use area. Earl Stuart fishin is livin

Those I know who do it do not do it at this time under a light. they go out and fish in the dark just like day time casting jigs and road runners. At my age I no longer go out at high at all. my night vision has about become zero. I do not go to a light until mid to late summer. And that I only do when my family is here now and then.
nomolites Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 "Pa he tsi."...... What is that supposed to mean anyway? Many boats launching??
fishinwrench Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Many boats launching?? Either that or "Prop busting rockpile".
stuartsx5 Posted May 6, 2015 Author Posted May 6, 2015 That's funny nomolites. It can be very busy and it is the only place I have ever run across a water patrol. He gave me a warning for not being at idle speed when I crossed the buoys. Wanted to tell him if he could get my piece of crap Chrysler outboard to idle have at it On another note. I put in at Larry Gale last week with my son and kind of had a little run in with the G3 guys. They had one of the two lanes blocked and the ramp was busy. As I was going in to the dock to pick up my son the one testing the boat ran in to the dock in front of me. Had a little conversation with a big feeling G3 guy. My son got a little nervous, thought he was gonna have to keep the old man out of trouble. Earl Stuart fishin is livin
fishinwrench Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 How do you shove a boat up on a trailer at idle speed ? Maybe Pa he tsi stands for...Coast in and winch it.
