Hammer time Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Put in at 39 bridge 2:30, headed up the Kings started on main lake points deep with a half ounce football jig caught 3 short kentuckies, water temp 69.9. Decide to leave and went up the white to the owl creek area, water temp 67.3. Tied on a deep little n, first cast,16" walleye. Went down channel swings with the same crankbait caught 3 nice blacks and a couple short spots. Left went down a bank that I normally dI good on post spawn, first cast, SLAM. Thought I had an 8 pound largie played him or three minutes finally saw him and it was a walleye as big as my arm! Seen the boat made one last run and broke my line. Tied on a 5x crankbait and on back to back casts caught a 19" and a 23.5" walleye, and two more shorts down the same bank. Went to the mouth of the Kings big main lake gravel point, found a school of spots on the football jig all shorts, loaded up at dark. Great trip. Tight lines. Muddy Water, Quillback and Sac River Jim 3
Quillback Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Good stuff. Funny how those walleye will bite at times, just hard to tell when it will happen.
motoman Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 That's awesome to be on the walleye like that! We'll done.:-)
