Members mhumke Posted May 13, 2015 Members Posted May 13, 2015 Any idea if these conditions will remain the same or be similar Friday morning? It's a few days away so just curious? Thank you for all the great info!!
Travis Swift Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 I'm not Phil or near as smart as him but from Kansas looking at the data, being the fact that they are talking quite a bit more rain and the fact that beaver is really full and will need to release some water I am headed down this weekend with the idea they will keep doing this for several more days would be my guess.
JestersHK Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Man nice looking fish. You weren't kidding about busting out the white maribous.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 13, 2015 Author Root Admin Posted May 13, 2015 Looks like they'll run it for at least 3-4 days. That's with no more rain and no water from Beaver. Dickey said his clients CRUSHED big rainbows this morning on white shad flies below the dam. 20 rainbows in the 16-18 inch range. No monsters yet. If you're heading this way, take advantage of this run, even if you don't like to throw stuff like this. I think you could catch some fish at the boat ramp- shad fly with some weight, may be a 1/4 ounce bell. Steve said they didn't have to get to the bottom- fish were coming up and taking the flies up in the water column.
