Memorial Day bass report

Got on the water around noon and fished until 6:30. Took my son and one of his friends. Either the fish have moved deeper since last Tuesday, or they just weren't as hungry. Ended up catching 43 bass on the ned in green pumpkin. My son caught a 13 inch crappie also on the ned. Only 4 keeper bass and they were all 15 to 16 inchers. Water temp was 69. We fished from Orleans Trail to the split of the Big and Little Sac. The majority of the bass were smallmouths.

Man that beetle grub without a spinner is really dropping off in effectiveness, you guys only caught 43 bass in 6 hours of fishing.

Sorry it was so slow. I'm sure it was good to be out on the water anyway.

Sounds like a good day regardless of size. It did get kinda tough once the campers woke up.

Last Tuesday spoiled me. Big time.

Bass fished Memorial day morning from 6:30 - noon. Never left maze creek and caught about 20 bass in 10-15 fow all on a jig at the base of big trees. Fish seem to be moving out deeper but i still hear of people slaying em up shallow so im not sure. Always an adventure trying to find them. Even when im not catching them well it's hard for me to leave a spot when an 8lber could be on the next stump/rock/etc. Always fun to be out regardless
