Fished from 5:30-8:30 and it was tough. Water had little more color to it, only 3-4 ft visibility. Tried little by of everything it seemed and ended with 5 and only 1 keeper. 3 on Ned and 2 on baby brush hog. Water temp around 75.

5 fish in 3 hours is a respectable outing. I have had worse days.

It's getting to be that time of year when we can't rightfully expect 20-and-upward fish every time we go. Thanks for sharing your not-so-productive trip, but like denjac said, you did OK for a short trip. Honesty is one of the things that make this forum what it is. Besides, we all like to be reassured that we aren't the only ones that struggle sometimes. :)

New to the forum...love the posts keep them coming! I usually fish grand lake but with the high water I've been spending some time on the rock. The smallie in pic was caught midday on a spook had quite a few recreational boats come through which caused a crazy topwater bite for a limited time. The LM was around 7am on a heddon swim'n image which has been my go to bait recently on table rock. Of course caught a handful in the ned rig fished from 645-1 today water seems to be rising still

Nice job! Yeah, I've been spoiled this spring. I was overdue for a tough day. My "bad" outings had been 10-12 fish. To only catch 5 in a few hours really isn't that bad, especially since it was so comfortable out. As my dad would say the fishing was great, but the catching not so much.
