Dutch Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 There is a public launch ramp in the right hand cove of Hawker Branch. It is just below the (h) in Zara's picture. Also if you were to stay at State Park you can choose State Park Marina cove for Little Sac or Hartley Branch (just across Hwy 215) for Big Sac access. There is also a launch ramp in the back of Miller Branch. dprice and Sac River Jim 2
Members rhack Posted June 4, 2015 Author Members Posted June 4, 2015 Looks like there is a lot of good water south of Ruark...both east and west. Looks like pretty solid option. Thanks all for the recommendations. Pretty proud of the little 14 footer...My grandpa's old 1958 alumacraft that I resurrected with some new paint. Put in a floor and some nice electronics...don't plan on upgrading for a long while. Need to use it this year, though. Always seems to be the problem. Now just need to catch some fish. I will plan on heading that way the weekend of 6/30. May try and make a day trip the 13th, but will let you all know how it shakes out.
Members jbeenemd Posted June 5, 2015 Members Posted June 5, 2015 If your father is not wanting to rough it too much and you want to launch from Roark, then check out Southwinds Motel. I moved my boat to their covered storage last fall after I sold my farm. It is really a collection of connected cabins. Nice couple owns the facility. He was a walleye guide in his earlier years. If I wanted to stay at the lake, that would be my choice. waterpossum 1

This is a great area to be protected with wind patterns this time of year. Decent fishing also. They have a several you can pull your boat right up and beach it. Dprice priceheatingair.comĀ
