Sac River Jim Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Now your talking. I do it a lot. It is very versital. My drop shotting is somewhat different I imagine than yours. There was a recent post on here about it in LOZ. I cover the full range with it from shallow to 30 ft or more at times. Have been doing it for 4-5 yrs. I have never ever seen anyone else do it. Most people look at me like I am nuts. That is fine. I did not need to see the artical wriitten by Neporadny on here. He was saying that Deon is doing it. So I guess there is someone else. I and the Hibdons have mutual friends. They knew I did it but they never mentioned him doing it. I just do not like the attention it might bring. Mjk86 As far as the split goes thats a good idea. I have done that with the conventional drop shot stuff because it pulls off on a snag. But what he is doing is far superior to that. He is letting the tumble over the bottom give it action. You need to rig with swivels for that. One on the weight and one above the the hook where it attaches from the rig to the line. A good fisherman learns to fish out of the box. i took a buddy from here out the other day and he couldn't understand why i was throwing a c rig off a bluff in 30fow till he seen me boat a couple of fish. tear em up Plug!!! Old plug Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 I am a jack in the box. I do all sorts of strange things with baits.
