Terrierman Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Clabber Creek Shoal is a vastly different thing with different water levels. In lower water levels it requires some maneuvering to avoid the rocks, at higher water levels it can generate some impressive standing waves. I never found Mary Decker to be any kind of problem in a canoe. With Clabber, you are either in danger of banging rocks or taking on water. The problem with Mary Decker and a Shawnee is finding a place wide enough for the boat. I didn't recall Clabber being like that at all but it's been years since I've been through it.
Ham Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Rick, I love your boat. Is it 60 inches wide or 54 inches? I will be buying larger than a 42 inch next time around, bnut would a 42 inch boat been easier to skinny thru those spots or no? Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. Ham Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Really a 48 inch. I thought you had gotten a deal on a big hull which I described as fishing no different from a 48 inch, Lol. No wonder it felt the same as a 48 inch. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
