That wasn't a pike attack, but those darn giggers.

No giggers where that fish was caught. HUGE pike in the lake.

Rim Shoals on the White years ago in the rain.

Little 9 or 10 inch rainbow hit my green wooly bugger I was stripping on my 5 weight.

While I was dragging it in a 27 inch male brown nailed it.

I chased the double down river for quite a ways when I saw the little rainbow had slid up the fly line.

The brown had the bugger in his mouth and it must've pulled through the bottom of the rainbows mouth like a stringer.

While the rainbow flailed around it broke through it's bottom jaw and my brother grabbed it with his hands.

I corralled the brown down the island and I have several pictures of it.

It was all kyped up and bloody.

Happened during the conclave in October.

I have paper pictures of it.

Sorry no digital back then.

When I worked at a fish hatchery on the Indian river in ft pierce Florida I was fishing near a culvert put in for mosquito control, I caught a snook that was a pound or two and a big grouper shot out of the pipe grabbed my snook and went back in. I pulled and pulled but couldnt get the grouper out, finally it let go and I had a dead snook still attached.

Take a pic of the pic, not sayin I don't believe you. Just an easy solution.

image.jpgI looked all over for this picture.

Then realized it's hanging in the hallway in a frame.

I held it up to my fly rod to give it some perspective on length.
