Fishingmill Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 I am visiting Branson this week and it doesn't look like there will be any wade fishing at Taneycomo. Are there any other decent places to wade fish in Branson away from crowds? I don't care if there are any trout. I would actually prefer to fish for carp or suckers if possible. instagram.com/fishingmill twitter.com/Fishingmill vimeo.com/fishingmill
Lancer09 Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Might be able to find some stuff in the backs of coves of Table Rock in the dam area. I spent some time doing that this weekend. Other than that you could trek over to Roaring or something as I don't think it'll be as blown as Taney. If Swan or or beaver have come down enough You might be able to find some nice backwater fishing along those creeks as well.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted June 29, 2015 Root Admin Posted June 29, 2015 Bull Creek near F Highway (Bull Creek Village). Walk in. Roark Creek up by the Hollister treatment plant (Google Earth).
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted June 29, 2015 Root Admin Posted June 29, 2015 They may be backing off generation on Taney by then so may be wading below the dam.
Fishingmill Posted July 2, 2015 Author Posted July 2, 2015 Thanks Lancer. Thanks Phil. I ended up fishing the outlets on Taney. Caught several fat bows between 18-20 inches on nymphs (nothing paticular) but they seemed to be keying in on copper and brown colors. Phil, I will post some of the pictues on instagram when I get back home and tag you. instagram.com/fishingmill twitter.com/Fishingmill vimeo.com/fishingmill
Fishingmill Posted July 6, 2015 Author Posted July 6, 2015 Here are some of the pictures from Taneycomo this past week. I fished in the morning on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. All these pictures are from Thursday morning when the reduced the generation. Fish were stacked up in the second outlet like crazy that day. Most fish were taken on a tan scud. A guy fishing next to me caught a really nice brown trout, maybe 5-6 lbs and probably 24 inches. Daryk Campbell Sr 1 instagram.com/fishingmill twitter.com/Fishingmill vimeo.com/fishingmill
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Thanks for the report. :-) Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. brother dave Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 M R Some interesting pictures! I shop at the outdoor grocery store
Fishingmill Posted July 7, 2015 Author Posted July 7, 2015 I forgot to mention, I caught more trout in the 16-20 inch range than the past few years. It seems the trout have grown big and fat with the heavy generation. instagram.com/fishingmill twitter.com/Fishingmill vimeo.com/fishingmill
