jbooth24 Posted July 9, 2015 Author Posted July 9, 2015 Mine is 28 and don't really have one I'm not picky at all.... I have an old browning bow that I use now... But was wanting to upgrade if I can find one for a good price.
Flatbottom Boy Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Just a thought but you might want to put your old bow up for sale first. If its outdated just advertise it as a good bowfishing rig. There seems to be a lot of hype in that arena right now. Even if you pull an extra $100 out of it thats more money toward a better setup. Daryk Campbell Sr 1
Members teamsam Posted July 9, 2015 Members Posted July 9, 2015 Where are you located? I have a Mathews LX if you are interested.
Greenheadrocker Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 The Mathews LX is one of their great bows. Shot one for years I now shoot their DXT.
jbooth24 Posted July 9, 2015 Author Posted July 9, 2015 I live in Springfield. I also thought about trading my shotgun for a new bow
jbooth24 Posted July 9, 2015 Author Posted July 9, 2015 I'm still want a new one but part of me also says kill one more deer with it
SplitG2 Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 The Mathews LX is one of their great bows. Shot one for years I now shoot their DXT. I shoot the DXT as well and love it. Compact and forgiving.
jtram Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 I live in Springfield. I also thought about trading my shotgun for a new bow Hard to kill ducks and doves with a new bow. My old mathews sq2 put more deer on my wall than my current newer nicer bow has, in less time. If your old bow is solid try putting new string and cables on it.... it will shoot 100% different. Now I'm all for new toys, but a good shotgun wont depreciate (much) and the best bow on the market today will be obsolete in 5 years (or less)...... something to keep in mind
jbooth24 Posted July 10, 2015 Author Posted July 10, 2015 That's true I just shoot dove and turkey with my shotgun... But I shoot and older browning bow... I just adjusted my bow length and bought new arrows and also replaced my rage hyperdermic broadheads with new blades
