Meramec near Eureka 7/25/14

Took a short trip to the river with the family. Was more for playing in the water than for fishing.

Caught 2 fish - 1 smallie and 1 wallie

Both were on the little turd.

This was in about an hour and a half's time so I bet there were more to be caught there if you were to focus on them a little harder.

It was my first walleye out of the meramec, so I was pumped about that. I didn't measure it, but I'd say it was right around 15 in, maybe closer to the short side.

I've only heard stories of walleye in the 'Mac. NICE!

I saw an MDC truck at Flamm City today. I think they are going to open it up. The lot isn't covered in water any longer. Provided there's no more rain.

I've not caught any from the meramec,

I have caught them in the mississippi, missouri and the cuivre.

I've caught sauger between the Marshall Rd ramp and 141 bridge.

ive caught 2, 17 inch smallies by wabash and a small sauger and a 20 inch walleye . good to hear their still around their i havent had one in a while
