Quillback Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 They may have found their top of the rotation starter for this year at least. They gave up Brandon Finnegan, who has a lot of potential, but I think that when you have a team that has a shot at the World Series, you have to fill that immediate need.
GloryDaze Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Been listening to Royals fans cry about how much they will miss Finnegan? Honestly, what did he ever do to to actually make fans miss him? I agree with you, your in the race, need to fill a hole, so you jump on the chance. No looking back either- no matter what happens, they improved the team and put theirselves in position to continue to win. Congrats to management, nice to see such a big move. jtram Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Give away the young guys who have been your foundation and turned you into contenders for a barely above .500 pitcher with a 3.2 ish era? not a GREAT move by standards of a dynasty but hey, nothing wrong with TRYING to buy a series. viva la Marlins
Jerry Rapp Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 this is good for the Cardinals. After tonight, they play them 14 more times this season. That's probably 2 or 3 times they won't have to face him. Until the World Series.
Mitch f Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Until the World Series. Yep, you cardinal fans are so mean ? "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Smalls21 Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 see the royals got Zobrist from the Rays, thats an immediate upgrade over Infante at 2nd
Quillback Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 Yep, Infante has been a bit of a bust this year at the plate. So has Rios, and Zobrist plays OF also.
