They may have found their top of the rotation starter for this year at least. They gave up Brandon Finnegan, who has a lot of potential, but I think that when you have a team that has a shot at the World Series, you have to fill that immediate need.

Been listening to Royals fans cry about how much they will miss Finnegan? Honestly, what did he ever do to to actually make fans miss him?

I agree with you, your in the race, need to fill a hole, so you jump on the chance. No looking back either- no matter what happens, they improved the team and put theirselves in position to continue to win.

Congrats to management, nice to see such a big move.

Give away the young guys who have been your foundation and turned you into contenders for a barely above .500 pitcher with a 3.2 ish era? not a GREAT move by standards of a dynasty but hey, nothing wrong with TRYING to buy a series. viva la Marlins :)

this is good for the Cardinals. After tonight, they play them 14 more times this season. That's probably 2 or 3 times they won't have to face him. Until the World Series. :secret-laugh:
