I was a Marshall for that Bassmasters last year and they were flat tearing em up on jerkbaits.

Well just based on my experiences on the water it hasn't been as good as "normal" the last few years. That was also the Elites.....who are pro's vs me the schmo. Not really a fair fight lol.

I hear ya. Wasn't an indictment of your skills. Just an observation. They were working them over pretty good.

I didn't take it personal. Next time the Elites come to TR I want to be a marshall. Sounds like a good time and a great learning opportunity.

Being a marshall is well worth it. You learn a lot. I actually had a great jerkbait bite this year in late winter and early spring. I caught a lot of my big fish when the water was 46-48 degrees. It was just painfully slow and you had to be by the right brushpile. I would say my jerkbait was 15ft or more with fluro and a long pause.

The Elites were here in 2014, when Mike McClelland won and Mark Davis finished 2nd. I was talking about this year ... winter/early spring 2015.

I also would love being a marshal. Then I start thinking about stupid stuff like going to the bathroom and things like that and talk myself out of it. Nerves do not play well with me. I honestly wish I was one of the Dave Whites that threw up lol.

I hear ya Champ. I was commenting on Abkeenan's post. He mentioned the last few years. I should have used his quote. I commented just after him on the timeline. I didn't fish TR this past season so I have absolutely no input on the matter.
