conorsixtakc Posted August 3, 2015 Author Posted August 3, 2015 Caught plenty of fish despite the party on Saturday. No lunkers, but numbers weren't hard to catch. The tube drew in the dinks but a spinnerbait in/ahead of current seams produced the better bites. All brown fish. Thanks to you guys I made sure to bring my finesse spinnerbait along! All in all a fun time on the water with the Mrs. and caught a few fish, all I could really ask for. Buzz and Chief Grey Bear 2
Chief Grey Bear Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Way to go! It can be rather entertaining fishing that river on a weekend. conorsixtakc 1 Chief Grey Bear Living is dangerous to your health Owner Ozark Fishing Expeditions Co-Owner, Chief Executive Product Development Team Jerm Werm Executive Pro Staff Team Agnew Executive Pro Staff Paul Dallas Productions Executive Pro Staff Team Heddon, River Division Chief Primary Consultant Missouri Smallmouth Alliance Executive Vice President Ronnie Moore Outdoors
Amery Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Yea those dinks are so quick to the tube sometimes, the biguns don't have a chance. Nice pic.
Amery Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 I'm ready to hit the elk at night. Is the flow starting to let up some?
ollie Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Was on it yesterday and you can tell the flow has eased up a lot. We caught lots of fish as well, but no big fish. Had to get out a couple of times and drag canoes through the gravel. Glad you had a good time. The crowds are easing up as well. Starting to get close to school time so not as many on the water. There will be a huge final push come Labor Day, but the crowds are starting to thin some. Amery Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Well then, barring any rain events this week, I will try the night bite next weekend.
ollie Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 I thought about that on Sunday too. It's about that time! "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
Buzz Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Nice. Looks like you had a great time. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
