Sore Thumbs Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Had another good day today. Still concentrating on drop shot. I did catch one good K on a jig. Fish from 7am-2pm. Bite was good early, slow mid-day and better when the wind picked up after noon. Once again I caught the majority by 76 bridge. Got bites around all 3 pilings, but northern most was the best again today. Zoom finesse worm in Plum and Watermelon Candy. Caught right around 20 fish. Best five prolly went 8-9lbs. Man I love drop-shotting now. Phil Lilley, abkeenan, Codywskeeter1521 and 1 other 4
Codywskeeter1521 Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Thanks for the report. Really appreciate the info on that side of the lake.
Champ188 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Good job, Thumbs. Best way to learn to fish a drop shot (or anything else) is to gather up the basic info, then get out there and figure it out. You've done just that.
Sore Thumbs Posted August 3, 2015 Author Posted August 3, 2015 It's just fun to go out and actually catch fish for a change. I've been bangin my head against the wall at Beaver. Table Rock just seems to set up better. If you study and go by what the fish should be doing in a given season a guy can be rewarded for putting in the time. Typically run that pattern all over. Beaver just isn't as consistent.
