m&m Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 This forum has been helpful in the past about fiberglass repair, etc, so I am reaching out to see who I can trust in the TR area to do some re-wiring on my boat. I bought this '87 Cajun earlier this year and I need to have the wiring checked. I appreciate any recommendations.
Champ188 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 I'd take it to Ulrich Marine in Branson West. Period. Codywskeeter1521 and magicwormman 2
Bill Babler Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 They will do you a very good job at Ulrich. Another option, is Marine Repair Center in Springfield. About 5 yrs. ago I was guiding in Alaska and when I got home a pack rat had absolutely eaten every wire out of my 50 thousand dollar boat. I mean in that 5 weeks he had all but cleared out the entire wiring group. It took them one day at Marine Repair to completely rewire the boat with better and heaver wiring than it had previously had. I had always had just a bit of electrical interference in my electronics. After it was rewired it was as clear as a glass of water. Amazing part was the total bill was under $300 bucks parts included to do the entire job. While Ulrich is my go to repair dealership, MRC is for sure at the top of the list for wiring, trolling motor and anything electronics related. GNSfishing Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 I'll second using Ulrich and/or Marine repair both do outstanding work along with answering any question a person might have..
m&m Posted August 11, 2015 Author Posted August 11, 2015 Thank you for the recommendations. This is most helpful.
Ketchup Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Tho i havent personally used Marine Repair Center, i have a few buddies who have, that rave about their service. Not sure they got the deal that Bill did, but they have nothing bad to say. And they were fast at getting it done. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
Longball22 Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I just got my boat back from Ulrich. I was having charging issues with my cranking battery, and they had it diagnosed and fixed in a day. I thought price was fair base on going labor rates.
