Thank you for the replies.  Below are some pics of it from the internet.  I have been boating on Table Rock for over 40 years and not a lot of fishing--thus my first post.  Mostly running between Cape Fair, Shell Knob, KC, the Dam and a few trips up past Cricket Creek. I haven't been down the lower Kings so this cave could be the one Quillback is referring to. Any mile marker or coordinates?

The first pic just screams "Hey fellars, watch this!" Which, according to Foxworthy, is the last thing a red neck says before he dies.

Going up river it will be just past the Eagle Rock COE park. As the lake starts to turn back to the left it will be on the right. You can't miss it.

Thanks Gentlemen for mile markers and directions. Looks like we will be making a trip to Eagle Rock soon for exploring. I will report back on any cave findings.

Looks like a great place to find a nest of snakes. Believe I would pass on that thrill.

I'm out too. Shudder.

That's Tie Slide Bluff. If you look closely at the west end, you'll see where they slid thousands of railroad ties off the hill above (currently right off 86) to be rafted down for the new rails. Ironically, those very rails heralded the end of commercial river traffic on that stretch of the White.

It's a pretty good fishin' hole too...

Never had the desire to risk my neck on that bluff to look inside that little hole, and I like cavin'. If it was anything worthy of mention, it would have been marked ;Cave' on the old topos, but it's not.

I can't dance like I used to.

There's a similar small hole in the tall bluff that forms the outside of McCord Bend - the hairpin curve in the James River arm of Tablerock several miles above Bridgeport.  That one is visible from the water but higher up than the one pictured above, and I think it would take climbing gear and ropes to reach it.  Like the one in the photo there's a ledge, and from a boat it looks like there's a path where animals go in and out - foxes or bobcats maybe.  It seems 'way too civilized around there for a bear or mountain lion, but I'm not gonna be the one who finds out!   :o
