Members txdave Posted August 19, 2015 Members Posted August 19, 2015 Planning on coming down over Labor Day weekend to fish. Realize this is not the best time but it is the time I have off. Not looking for your go to spots. Looking for the type of structure your fishing and method using to catch fish. My wife and I will fish for anything that will pull a line. Bluegill, whites, kentuckies it doesnt matter. Any help on where to start would be greatly appreciated. Txdave
Fish24/7 Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 wish I knew, but I don't know anyone who's been fishing on Bull in the last week or so IF I can take a day off soon, I'll check it out for ya. what area of the lake will you be staying txdave?
Members txdave Posted August 19, 2015 Author Members Posted August 19, 2015 We will be staying at the campground at Pontiac marina. I will have my boat wiht me.
Fish24/7 Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 sweet, I generally fish the Spring Creek and Theodosia arms. If I get to go, I'll let ya know how it went
mojorig Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I would fish around the 20 to 25 foot range. Dissolved oxygen drops off around 30 feet and increases at 40 feet. Jeremy Risley District Fisheries Supervisor AGFC Mountain Home Office - 1-877-425-7577 Email: Jeremy.Risley@agfc.ar.gov
mjk86 Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 When in doubt try Main lake gravel 20ft down with ccrawlers. also the table rock info is usually applicable to bull shoals. Although admittedly its an odd year.

Although admittedly its an odd year. I m not so sure there is any gravel in 20 ft on bull right now, finding gravel was my plan a couple weeks ago and all the gravel i knew of was in 40+ feet. I would run some trot lines and scrap the rods, Bull is really hard to fish right now
Bluff-Bassin Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 I was out the other day for a few hours. I was the only one I saw the whole time and I know why. Not a bite for me. There are submerged bushes all along the shoreline down to about 30ft still. Lotta places for them to hide. Water was around 86. That was Monday before this cooler weather hit
Bluff-Bassin Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Put in at spring creek for what it's worth. Water had around 8ft clarity I'd say.
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Yep, you think your casting at a bush but its actually the top of a 30 ft tree
