Sage XP 790 2 piece w/fighting butt

I'm late to the conversation, but did you end up selling the XP?  really looking for one with a fighting butt (ideally a 6 wt) but they're hard to come by

I just saw this, sorry about the delay. I sold it to a gentleman near Cole Camp. He bought it for his son. XP's are great rods, I still have a couple. Traded once for it's replacement, the Z - axis, and it is ok, but not the backbone of the XP.

XP’s are a great rod.  Maybe the best.

If you want a 6wt with a fighting butt you will probably need to wrap it yourself or hire it out. It is not hard to assemble a fly rod. I would recommend Tom Hargrove if you want to go with a custom builder. He will wrap or repair anything,  but his signature customs are fantastic.
