ollie Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I just saw an article from KY3 on this. Looks like this guy is serious about opening it back up. Not in the amusement park way, but in an arts and crafts type way with artisans and musicians to play at the old convention center. Said he was also going to clean up the creek and and maybe restock it with trout. I remember going there as a kid and also remember it being very hokey! even as a kid I was bored. Hopefully this guy can bring it back to life. After posting this I see that this isn't really "new" news. It is new to me, but apparently this has been going on for a couple of years now. Danimal Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 If she is there, I'll go. She was working at the convenience store in Jasper last time I was up that way.... RELEASE THOSE BROWNIES!!
Al Agnew Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 The girl I met at the McDonalds in Harrison sounded like what I always imagined Daisy Mae would, though she didn't look much like her. We were looking for a place in Harrison, and stopped there to ask directions. The girl there said, "Wellll, iffen you-uns take this here road right here, go down thataway, and jist keep goin' and goin' and goin' til ya cain't go no futher...ya gotta either turn left (and she pointed to the right), or right (and she pointed to the left), or straight ahaid..."
