Members KC Steve Posted October 16, 2015 Members Posted October 16, 2015 I was there a couple of weeks ago and did fairly well on Teas-rigged blue and purple worms in 4-20 feet of water off points in the morning.
Members justfishing Posted October 20, 2015 Author Members Posted October 20, 2015 Thanks to all the inputs guys. I guess I should have looked at forum Friday. This is how we done Friday hit water 6:30 Buddy caught a few fish on senko bait and I did not have a bite all day, I was throwing everything I could think of buzzer baits - pop r - spinner bait- crank baits - and jig and pig. Saturday stated out early again same thing buddy caught a few, did take me long to change to a finesse worm, I got broke off three times during the day relined reel and caught several fish a day, Sunday again threw a few different baits but no taker all of our fish came off finesse worms and senko's and we fish out on the bluff's ( Main lake ) and just inside the coves any further back in the coves we could not get any keeper fish, those fish were just biting the ends of the worms. our biggest fish of the weekend came off bluff with quick drop and it hit a senko as soon as it hit the water. I would say the 50 % of the fish we caught was right on the bank and the other 50 % were out in 10 to 15 foot of water. Nice lake I will fish again!!!!
Members randman011 Posted March 31, 2017 Members Posted March 31, 2017 hello, I got a old rv on a lot on pomme de terre, rr1 Flemington.,about a mile south of Coopers cove, and I fished it for bass only, hard since may or june of 2014. On Halloween day, 2016, I caught a 6.5lb+ a close to 4, and a near 3 and a not quite 2lbrs. All on the western arm, west banks, with a southwest breeze blowing into the slab rock or chunk rock areas of bank. In one 200 yard stretch I caught the 6.5 and the 4 lbrs, within about 10 minutes. All were caught on one bait, as were the next 2 nice keepers. total damage, 2 hours of fishing 4 keepers, 14.4 lbs.And that was from 12:30 to 2:45 with time off for lunch. Water temp, where I caught them, was 60-63 degrees, fished only main lake points or pockets. If you're coming down in the future, contact me at randy@largemouthbassnation.com and I will guide you for half a day and show you how to catch plenty of bass, dependent upon conditions, weather on whatever day. If you want some videos, see my Pomme de Terre videos on 'BassinFools' on Youtube and on our largest website/facebook pages 'www.largemouthbassnation.com' and /largemouthbassnation/ on facebook. That is pretty much all I do anymore is bass fish, run my fishing sites and pages and enjoy my grandsons. Randy Yancey, Springfield,Mo
jim m Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 sorry to tell everyone but there are very few bass left in pomme, everyone should go to table rock or truman cause you can't catch bass in pomme Flysmallie and Daryk Campbell Sr 2
Members randman011 Posted April 4, 2017 Members Posted April 4, 2017 lol. When was the last time you fished for bass on Pomme de Terre? It obvious not in the past few years. Largemouth bass are caught by the thousands per month by bass fishermen! 2015 was better than 2014, and 2016 was better than 2015, and judging by two tournaments we've fished there in the past 16 days, there are now more limits caught and more fisherman whom I fish with there, by far!!! This from a guy that for 8 or 9 months every year since 2014 has fished the lake and average of 4 times a week. Check your source because it's obvious to anyone who read your post, you don't have a grasp on reality as far as Pomme. It's better there than Table Rock or Lake of the Ozarks as far as fish caught and averages these past 3 years! Randman011 Bass Fishing
Members randman011 Posted April 4, 2017 Members Posted April 4, 2017 Here's a short video of 11 lbs caught in 17 minutes fishing on Pomme de Terre Lake in SW Missouri! 4 keepers caught from 12:45 pm to 3:00 pm, almost 15 pounds! You've just been fishing in the wrong places or wrong lake Jim M! Go to this Link for video!
moguy1973 Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 I think jim m was being a little sarcastic to try to sway people from going there. randman011 1 -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Members randman011 Posted April 4, 2017 Members Posted April 4, 2017 Exactly, No big secret to Tri County Bass Club and USA BASSIN trail tho! Here's another 6 plus from March 2016.
shrapnel Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Randman, Pomme is a great lake, but it's not in the same class as LOZ. WeekendWarrior 1
fishinwrench Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Shrapnel is right, Pomme and LOZ are not in the same class. The thing I like about Pomme is you can actually take a piss whenever you want to. slothman, MCrump and DChance 3
