No sir. First place had a very nice bag I believe he had 17 almost 18lbs. We did loose a keeper in the last 5-10min had him about half way to boat and he threw the whopper plopper. I don't think it was gonna make up 4lbs but it was definately a beautiful day other than the wind.

We did take 2nd place and big bass. So we definately had no complaining.  it was our first tournament we've ever entered. So it was a whole new deal for us. Everyone was super nice and polite which made it a very good time.

Second place/big bass in your first tournament is pretty darn good. Glad it was a positive experience. You guys may have started something you can't finish. LOL

Tournament fishing and golf are both known to get in a guy's (or gal's) blood and never let go.

Congratulations on your 2nd place finish.  I agree with Champ above, once you start fishing tournaments its hard to stop.  Nice fish and a great way to start out tournament fishing.  You will probably be hooked now. :D

Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.

Congratulations on your 2nd place finish and in your first tournament!!! Like Champ said now you will be looking at entering more tournaments.  Hopefully you won't be swayed to get lookalike jerseys.  Keep it real and have fun.  Cashing a check is the icing on that tournament cake!!

Thanks gentleman. It was definately fun and addicting. Excited to get out and try some more. I'm sure we won't be as lucky but it was a lot of fun either way. It probably helped we didn't try to put to much pressure on ourselves. We went out just hoping to catch a couple keepers and have a few to weigh in and anything else was gonna be a bonus.

Well done guys! I think that is the secret to tournament fishing. Just go out and go fishing and don't put too much pressure on your selves. Many people try WAY too hard and I think it leads to mistakes and fishing too fast.
