Stump bumper Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Just got the Academy flyer today and the big sell was on electric oil-less Turkey Fryer, is that not called an oven? So that put to thinking about eating a turkey/cranberry sandwich while watching four poles with live bait waiting for a big stripper. So I know my favorite way to eat turkey...What is your favorite way to cook it, and carry it on the water?? Sometimes a zip lock baggie full of dark meat can't be beat while using live bait.
Dan the fisherman Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 I fry mine with some Cajun seasoning... Yum. I do 2-4 turkeys a year like that. I don't reserve turkey eating for just thanksgiving. I eat them year round. I do tend to do more turkey frying this time of the year though. Speaking of which I may get one fried up next week.

Blll Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Turkey sandwich with mayo, little salt on Texas toast while watching the Bears lose another game. Now there's a Sunday afternoon! In the boat, a sure way to get a strike is to reach into the sandwich bag and take that first bite. It had better be a good fish to mess up my sandwich!

rps Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Turkey - brine it first, remove the back bone, remove the keel bone, divide the remaining bird in two halves and roast at 350. Slice the good parts for company. Save the dark meat chunks for dipping in queso. Great for football, striper fishing and maybe that other watching. Champ188 1
