Guest Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 We fished up the White today from 1-5pm. Bluff walls & wiggle warts produced 49 bass, the best 5 weighed 12lbs. Bluff ends are good but so are the middle bluff areas. Just put the trolling motor down & go "down the bank" You could walk across the schools of shad, but they were everywhere so you kinda ignore them. as usual, wind was the key. No wind & you struggle, add a little chop & its game on. I hate that its supposed to flood out, because this pattern would hold up until Christmas. I might have to stay in front of the mud line if it comes a real flood. We caught 35 from 4-5:30pm. It was literally every cast. My shoulder hurts from chunking & winding that crankbait.
Dan the fisherman Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Heck ya, sounds like a great day. I don't fish that far up river. I do a little when the white bass run.
Guest Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't flood out, I'm going to relocate to Monte Ne if that's the case. Stay ahead of the mudline.

Guest Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Ham, I forced myself to only run bluff walls, That paid nice dividends yesterday. Thanks for the advice.

That's a good way to catch a limit up in the river arms in the fall and winter. Plus, you can chuckle at all the trollers crane-necking to see what you're doing so close to the bank --- i.e., catching fish when they aren't. LOL Ham 1
