aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Started at Flatt creek at 12 ish water temp 51. I was hoping for some crappie tried some brush and nothing tried to troll some flats and nothing there either. Put away the crappie stuff and started throwing a wart. Caught lots of bass only two keepers and lost another couple that would have probably hit the 15" mark. Mix of spots and largemouth. 1 keeper Smallie too. Best bite for me was in rip rap under the bridges. But also caught a lot just running the banks. Shad were in the channel back in the creek and back in all the coves. Not much of a pattern just covered water and picked some up here and there. All my bites were soft, all of a sudden you would just feel some weight. Talked to a buddy down there and he had caught a couple nice keepers and a spinnerbait water temp out in the lake was 54. Took a few pics of nice one magicwormman and Hammer time 2
Members rlcarter Posted November 26, 2015 Members Posted November 26, 2015 tied for crappie tuesday also @ the flat/james , i didn't do any good either, i hooked 1 crappie and it flipped off at the boat.
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 I knew the crappie deal was a long shot, Caught some last week on Bull and i know a guy that is killing them on brush in Bull. I was hoping but they just arent back there yet
m&m Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Archdale, were you in the white jeep at Bridgeport ramp? mike
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 Nope, i saw it there. I actually launched at Flatt creek resort. I was running around in a little red bass tracker
m&m Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 We were in the maroon Cajun fishing the coves next to Bridgeport. That was my blue ram truck next to the jeep. I'll post a note about our fishing when I get to the computer. Sounds like you were flexible in your approach today Mike
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 Flexible???? maybe more just running around. I threw a few other baits. Jig, red eye shad, square bill, SB. But the wart is all i could get a bite on. Water color is perfect in the james for a wart. Ive had great luck this fall using bright colored warts instead of the natural colors. A buddy and i caught somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 one day, i was using red and he was using orange. But not one keeper that whole day. Fun day though Ham 1
