mic Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Ok... time for some winter talk. You only get one medium size fly box to take for winter fishing for trout in the Ozarks. What do you put in it? Flies, colors, and sizes. http://www.orvis.com/news/fly-fishing/must-have-flies-winter-edition/
Flysmallie Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 I think there is going to be a big difference depending on where you are fishing. But I'll give it a shot. Just remember I'm not a good trout fisherman. So this is probably a better list of what not to carry. Pine Squirrel (6,8,10) -black -olive -natural Wooly Bugger (8,10) -black -olive -brown Pat's Rubberlegs (6,8) -black -brown -coffee Eggs (12,14) -various Worms (12,14) -natural or crème Griffith's Gnat (16,18) Soft Hackle (14,16) -Partridge & whatever seems good Scud (12,14,16) -crème -pink -tan Midge (18,20) -black -olive -pink -blue poison tung
