Guest Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Okay, I've got a special little hook on the Ned head that I'm using. It's got a smaller gap than the regular head. That SlimZ really does good at slow speed.
Ham Posted December 10, 2015 Author Posted December 10, 2015 I'm thinking about using them on the original Road Runner head. No barb. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Guest Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Good call, I didn't even think about them. That's like a finesse version of the fish head spin. Do you have quality swivels so the blade turns at slow speed?

I do not expect the same level of quality in a 40 cent jighead vs the $3.00 jighead. I actually wish that the good folks at Blakemore would let me design a crappie series for them that had more appropriate hook sizes through out the weight ranges 1/32 oz, 1/16 oz, 1/8 oz, and 1/4 oz. I'm still waiting on that phone call though. Diamond City Fisher and Johnsfolly 2 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish

Those are great little lures for crappie, they are a bit larger, and obviously good durability. One problem is that the tail doesnt kick at nearly as slow a speed as a swing impact.....ive yet to find a swimbait that kicks like a swing impact even at painfully slow speeds. If they are willing to hit a faster moving bait, then these are def good lures.
