Blll Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Too nice not to try and catch a fish today. Beautiful day, warm & sunny. Motor ran well, no broken tackle, all is well. Got my 1st "skunk" of the year. Tried all the windy tactics with no luck. Got tired of rocking & rollin after 2 hours. Decided I was not having fun. Came in to tie some flies (normal December stuff). Looking forward to more December fishing next week Merry Christmas!
J-Doc Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Yeah I heard it was 4ft rollers on main lake. And if you wanted to troll, raise the rod locker lid and you gained another 1.5mph speed! LOL! tho1mas 1 Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
Ham Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Man, 4 foot rollers = trailer to a creek arm. I agree with the concept of quitting when you aren't having fun, but that's never, ever happened to me after 2 hours. Good for me that I'm safely stuck at work. No chance my dumb butt could be out there fighting a BAD wind. Champ188 1 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
