Are they going to have to hold onto more water with everywhere else flooding and the worries about the Mississippi and the Missouri flooding? Was planning a trip mid January but we are going to play that one by ear now. They'll hold it in Bull Shoals. Im telling ya- and this isn't just an attempt to be positive and drum up biz... We've seen a ton of shad at our place since the gates were opened. Our trout have been feasting. I can't wait to go up and drift a shad fly or white jig... don't know what you'd catch. Hopefully the big browns are up there. Seth

Members fishin_addict
Phil, I'll be curious to hear what your catch ratio is of trout vs. the mixed bag of TR fish. Good luck!
Members Kansasfly09
Phil- I know that this is a question that practicing no one could answer. But how long do you see it being before you would be able to wade again? Would love to still make the trip up in January but the group that's coming wants to fly fish. Hope the water is receding and things are looking better for you guys!
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 30, 2015 Author Root Admin Share Posted December 30, 2015 I don't think we'll see any down water for at least, AT LEAST 3-4 weeks and that's with no rain. Remember, both Beaver and Table Rock lakes need to be dropped.

At present, they're running 20k cfs which includes 13k by turbines plus gates. The Corp said they'd be releasing up to 50k by morning. Beaver is releasing gates too but I don't have cfs amounts. Since they starting spilling over gates its slowed the rise at both lakes slightly, barely. Both dams will have to increase flows to keep up-question is how much. Mum not sure if this will equal 2011... I am afraid it may surpass it. We are sandbagging. Our dock will be closed till the water recedes. Phil: Thanks for all of the reports about Table Rock and Taney. Wishing you a minimum of recovery problems. If I can help in any way, please call anytime. Glad to hear they are reducing flow -- just hope they don't lower it too fast before the lakes are pulled down. I was amazed at the charts indicating Table Rock rose 15 feet in just two days. That's a lot of water. I expect we will see many new changes in the stream bed and water flow when the water level returns to normal flow. Hope you will give us updates, when possible. Hopefully the scuds are still in abundance and haven't been wiped out with the strong currents. Rolan
