Dan the fisherman Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 I launched out of PC at 1:30. I noticed the water wasn't terribly cold. Only 51-50. I thought it would be colder. I headed to find mud line and found it just passed goat island almost to RB. I didn't mark n e thing. Also there isn't tons of debri between PC and RB. A few things floating around but again, not nearly as bad as I thought it wounld be. I'm sure it's a lot worse south of hwy 12 . Lance34 and fisherofmen11 2
Jerry Rapp Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 it was a 60 degree rain. It will take a while until the cold temps knocks it down.
J-Doc Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Wasn't 69 degree rain at my house. Felt like 40 degree rain. Every drop was super cold. Thanks for the report Dan. WAY better than I expected. Maybe the mudline won't get past Coppermine by Friday? Or Rocky B at the most? They are slowly closing the gates and generating a lot. Maybe that will slow the mud and debris down some. Cabelas did a top notch job on my new Terrova so guess I will have to go play Friday for a while. :-) They always treat me well. Didn't mark anything. No surprise there. Will be tough to find some but when you find a wad, better camp on them. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! Dan the fisherman Posted December 30, 2015 Author Posted December 30, 2015 J the mud line is already between goat island and rocky branch.( closer to RB) Copper mine is chocolate milk.
J-Doc Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Oh right! You said that earlier. Sorry. I responded later after I read it. Old man memory issues.... Need marine repair? Dan the fisherman Posted December 30, 2015 Author Posted December 30, 2015 Has n e one been south of 12 bridge? Like MN, HSB?
Guest Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Your making me want to try the stained water ahead of the mudline. 51 degrees is prime for smallmouth,
Stump bumper Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 As long as the gates are open that mud line will move, I hope someone checks it today. I am betting it is to point 5 by now. I really wish there were more cams on the lake. Champ188 1
J-Doc Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Gates closed at 3am last night. Generating but will slow that down soon when inflow slows down. So the lake will be high for weeks and a slow draw down will start in February. Hope they draw it down quick before March or we will see this all again. Need marine repair?
