Stump bumper Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 I picked up some "bed jigs" by Cabela's that are 3/16s and 3/32. Has anyone tried those.

Like the Gopher and other open hook heads they have an annoying tendency to stick to trees, brushpiles, cables, etc. I went down that road originally because that is how Ned taught it. Drove me bats. Ned fishes it that way because he basically avoids cover other than grass, and swims it quite a bit more than we do in the Ozark lakes. I would steer clear of the 3/16oz size (including the ones I occasionally make by request). To me it is just too much head. If you caught the Bass Pros show the other day with Stacey King you would have seen him fishing with a weedless head. Fiber guard in that case. Have been told he uses several different heads for it. fisherofmen11 and Champ188 2
