I found this.......

Research based largely on data from their homeland has indicated the carp can spawn successfully only under the right circumstances, including temperatures of about 70 degrees and long stretches of continuously flowing water where fertilized eggs can drift while incubating.

So they spawn like Stripers?    A good 3 year drought would likely put a serious dent in the population.  You'd think wing dikes that create lots of eddy's would lessen the chance of eggs successfully hatching.

You'd have to ask a biologist. They study things like that. But we all know your view of them.

Yeah, they are the idiots that brought them here!  Said they'd be great for cleaning up sewage treatment overflow down south.  Typical Incomplete Science....as I've stated more than once.

Bring in more otters !

That is freaking hilarious!

But just so you'll know:

"In the 1970s, fish farmers in mostly Southern states began importing Asian carp from China to help clean their commercial ponds."

You need to stay out of the doughnut shop.

Right!   AFTER biologists decided they'd be perfect for cleaning up some ditches in LA. and MS. and brought some here to try it.

Where do you think the fish farmers got the idea from ?

Just to be clear.....Studying biology is great.  Tampering with it.....NOT. They just always have to tamper, bend, and play.  That's bad news, bro, cuz they don't know WTF they're doing.

Grab me a doughnut ! But wash your hands first.

Allright !!!!,

You guys ..... we have the answer........ Build side dikes with a entry gate........ put sex hormones in the water to entice them to spawn........ when they swim in the dike area then close the gate........ throw in some sewage, after all it is cheap and we have been dumping it in all the creeks every time we get a good flood......... then let it dry up ( don't pull the plug or they'll swim out) and we will kill them by the millions !!!!! One more thing...... as it is drying up grab them out by hand and then sell them back to the Chinese as an Asian delicacy !!!

Brilliant !!!! Brilliant !!!!

Show me where biologist had the Asian Carp imported?

I like your idea of not messing with biology. But I don't think you can sell that to the MSA.

Hey jackass,  if you are gonna argue with me then do your own research.  Don't request that I do it for you.  :P

They were first brought here to clean up the tail end of sewage treatment facilities, and I am gonna stand on the side that says a BIOLOGIST (with a degree) was the mastermind of that.

Show me that there wasn't a biologist involved.

Well jackass I did. Not one mention of it.

You can't prove what ain't there.

Study hint:   I suspect you are searching using the word "Asian".   Do you know their real names ?
