Quillback Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 It is 2 PM this coming Sunday at the Cabelas in Rogers. Description is "Fine tuning your bass strategies" or something like that. Anybody know anything about this as far as who is giving it? I'm thinking of going, but really don't want to go if it's a generic how to bass fish thing.
J-Doc Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Hmmm... No clue. Must be about getting the right mix between dynamite length and fuse length. "Fine tuning".... Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
Stump bumper Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I think I know all there is to know about bass fishing, it is the bass that need to go to the class....they are the ones not responding the way they should. Then again I was educated in Arkansas Schools so I understand where they are coming from. Mitch f, Champ188, fishinwrench and 2 others 5
Guest Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Well spoken, they need common core so they get confused & strike any lure anytime.
Quillback Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 I think I'll stay home and watch football. dtrs5kprs 1
dtrs5kprs Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Cabela's bass seminars include useful topics such as "how to rip jigs through weeds", " locating reefs", "crawler harnesses and back trolling for Canadian Shield largemouth", " flipping with 2pc rods", and "steel leaders for soft plastics, yes or no?". Stay home. Watch ball and MLF. Quillback 1

Surprised more of them haven't figured out how to catch a million 12" brown fish and run away from the guys trying to catch largemouth. Palaniuk did, to some extent so did last weeks 2nd place guy. He just caught a bad break when Christie got on those flip fish right as the weather kicked up. Lance34 1

They are going to fish like and throw the baits they would use in a 5 bigguns tourney. Hard for them to adjust to go for numbers. dtrs5kprs 1

Sounds like the brown fish get all over that grass at night in summer, then evacuate at daylight. I was watching the first one and texting back and forth with a friend about it. That grass was a surprise to both of us. A TR guide who fishes down there some, told me it pretty much fished like Table Rock, but that was in the cold months. You nailed it on size versus numbers. A few of them seem to have consistently figured out you just have to catch a bunch of fish. Completely different deal. More like a sudden death one fish fish-off. Just need bites. How many 12" fish do you think you could catch on that lake throwing the little rig, or a small tube/craw/tiny brush hog on bare rock banks? Champ188, Ham and Quillback 3
