gitnby Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Will probably go out this weekend for a bit. Saturday & Sunday look to be bearable temps, and the lake level has stabilized some. Thinkin crankbaits, jerkbaits early and then A-rig, spoon + grub on some deeper stuff later in the day. May try some up in the bushes, but haven't heard of any action by anyone doing that.
Members whiteley.matt Posted January 21, 2016 Members Posted January 21, 2016 I am going to be giving it a go Saturday as well. Have pretty much the same game plan in mind. Hopefully we can find something. What part of the lake are you going to be fishing? We are launching from Big Indian. Going to start there around Baxter and work our way back towards Kimberling. This will be our first time out since back in November so, pretty anxious to get on the water.
Bill Babler Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Git, I think there was a pretty favorable post on jig fishing the bushes in the Baxter area made within the last 6 or 7 days, might be a very good plan. I just have to have it around 50. If its cooler out and breezy I'm not your guy http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
176champion Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Looking at the monthly weather forecast, it showed the 29th as being 58 degrees which is next Sunday, but you know how them weather people lie. I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips

Been thinking of trying it myself if the weather ever gets warm enough for me to get out on the Rock. I remember some guide caught a couple of 9 lbers one day on the FNF. Can't remember the guides name.
gitnby Posted January 22, 2016 Author Posted January 22, 2016 Are you referring to the infamous "Killer B's" ?
gitnby Posted January 24, 2016 Author Posted January 24, 2016 didn't go out Saturday. Had a project at the house to get done, and it was cold, so decided to wait and go today. Was out from 11-3. Got one on the A-RIg, no other bites Champ188, Kee sims and Quillback 3
